Bulk-billing on most of our services

The team at Westside Medical Imaging respect the industry’s ‘patient first policy’. We are committed to preventing unnecessary treatment and provide bulk-billing on most of the services that we offer.

We utilise Artificial Intelligence (AiCE) technology

AiCE enables us to achieve significantly better image quality with up to 82% less radiation exposure (from an ultra-low-dose scan). Westside Medical Imaging owns a premium Canon Medical Aquilion Prime SP CT scanner. It’s the world’s first Deep Learning reconstruction technology and enables significantly better image quality to detect subtle pathology, at the lowest radiation doses available. The scanner that we have is safer than old-generation models that many other practices still use.

We use metal artifact reduction technology (SEMAR)

SEMAR utilises a revolutionary post-processing technology to reduce metal artifacts, allowing us to better visualise implants and supporting bone and adjacent soft tissues, to provide our patients with a confident diagnosis.

Our centre offers a genuine ultra-low-dose scan

Westside Medical Imaging owns a state-of-the-art CT scanner that delivers high resolution images at an ultra-low-dose – some as low as X-ray doses. The benefit for patients is that we can provide you with an excellent scan at a very safe level.

We can handle a variety of image-guided procedures

Our team offer a broad range of image-guided procedures including steroid, hyaluronate and PRP injections, biopsy and aspiration. Our practice aims to provide a minimally invasive procedure and second-opinion consultation by highly experienced radiologists.

Westside Medical Imaging is situated at Shop 4 / 4A, 1024 The Horsley Drive, in Wetherill Park. We are conveniently located in the Wetherill Park Market Town shopping centre (right near Aldi) and the clinic is just a 3 minute drive away from Fairfield Hospital.

The shopping centre has free on-site parking for over 300 cars and getting to our clinic is easy on public transport too. We are well served by buses and Fairfield railway station is only 6km away. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment?

The clinic is very popular with Fairfield residents. Some examinations require pre-appointment preparation, so please book for Ultrasound and CT Scans. You can come anytime for general X-rays.

Can I request a female or male technician?

Yes, patients from Fairfield and other close by areas are requested to discuss and request this with the receptionist at the time you book. We’ll then try to ensure that we meet your request.

How long will my results take?

We aim to have your results back to your doctor by that day’s close-of-business, if imaging is done in the morning. However, in some cases, our specialists may require extended time on your examination. Patients from Fairfield and other suburbs nearby are asked to discuss with our receptionist at the time of your scan. They can then provide you with a more accurate estimate.
